1. Managing sales

  • Try increasing sales that practically involve cash payments
  • Reduce prices if possible to increase cash flow and number of payments
  • Assign sales force to the regular reviewing of payment performance of customers
  • Implement proactive sales techniques to increase sales volume and demand
  • Regularly (each week/month/quarter) review remains in the warehouse to avoid failed deliveries and goods scarcity
  • Apply factoring or discounting to quicken receipts from sales

2. Cost management

  • Be focused on decreasing direct and indirect costs and overhead expenses
  • Use cost-effective methods to save more and spend less
  • Analyze workflows and processes in your office to improve them and remove productivity gaps and money waste (VIP Task Manager software will be helpful)
  • Apply Pareto's 80/20 principle to manage inventories, receivables and payables

  • Find ways to reduce the amount and time of a credit given to partner, customer or employee
  • Become more selective and circumspect when granting a credit to partner, customer or employee

4. Purchasing management

  • Check if the system for purchases payments requires setting-up or improvement
  • Consider a possibility to increase the credit taken from suppliers
  • Negotiate a possibility to get an extended or revised credit offer from suppliers
  • Avoid using barter to purchase goods and services as it reduces cash-flow
  • Make prompt payments for purchases only when worthwhile discounts are applied

5. Inventory management

  • Reduce inventory levels
  • Improve control over warehouse
  • Sell off or trade in obsolete/excess inventory
