1. List Tasks.

  • Overview. The sign-off procedure includes a series of tasks you need to do to complete your process and make final inspection. Preparing for the procedure means making a list of all the tasks related to it. Here’re some ideas regarding such tasks.
  • Walk through the process and define its key stages.
  • Identify current status of the process.
  • Make sure the process owner (a person (or a group of people) who has the ultimate responsibility for the process’s performance and its objectives) is in place and aware of any authorized changes to be made to the process.
  • Record any updates applied to the process.
  • Identify human resources involved in implementing the process.
  • Define and estimate other resources involved in the implementation.

2. Design Sign-off Schedule.

  • Overview. Before you can complete your process and sign it off, you need to have a detailed schedule of the sign-off procedure. Designing such a schedule requires you to define durations for all the tasks included in the procedure. Here’re some suggestions regarding developing the process sign-off schedule:
  • Define the total duration of the procedure by aggregating durations of the tasks.
  • Set start time and finish time for the procedure.
  • Create a timeline based on the total duration.

3. Identify Issues.
