Six months before the trip

• Discuss your honeymoon plans with your sweetheart

Decide which type of the rest you want to have, for example active and exciting or just romantic and relaxing, according to that discuss possible places to visit, e.g. tropical resort, city tour or cruise, set a budget for your trip

• Address to travel agent

Visit travel agency specializing in honeymoon travels, tell your consultant all your desires and requirements in order he can help you choose the ideal honeymoon location. Ask about the special discounts and packages for just married

• Make a final decision about the place of honeymoon

Taking into account everything you knew from your travel agent, your financial abilities and mutual wishes make a final decision where you will go

• Settle the matter with your passports

If somebody of you doesn't have a passport or needs to renew it do it now in order to avoid procrastinations with your honeymoon trip

• Make required immunizations

Find out if any immunizations are required to get to the place you've chosen. Some of them may require to be taken in several doses so decide this question beforehand

• Research the reservations

Research hotels, airlines, ship accommodations, inter-island flights if required, car-rental companies, and transfers from the airport if you are going to do it by yourself

Three months before the trip

• Confirm all your reservations and send in all required deposits
• Get passport and visas if necessary
• Keep all required information

Keep the phones of travel agent, hotel, car-rental companies and all information that can be useful in different extraordinary situations

• Ask about any additional document that may be required in the place you are going to
• Solve the question with your travel insurance
• Learn the destination climate

Learn the season climate of the place you are going to in order to think about your packing list

• Check your credit cards coverage

Check if your credit cards are accepted and if there are any fees where you are going to. Take a list of ATM's at your trip destination

• Check the cell phone coverage

Find out if your cell phone works at your trip destination and learn the rules of its use and the its fees abroad

• Research local restaurants and other available events at your trip destination

One month before the trip

• Make a list of things you want to take to the trip
• Make a list of things you need to buy before the trip
• Buy trip insurance
• Make sure that your credit cards are up-to date
• Make a copy of your contact information

Leave a list with all information where you can be reached in case somebody will need to connect with urgently

• Think about your pets and house

Think about somebody to take care of your pets, house, plants and garden, to get your mail and do other duties. Find somebody reliable and trusted to do it.

One week before the trip

• Buy everything you need in a trip
• Pack all medicines in your hand luggage
• Make a copy of all important documents and put it into your luggage
• Pack the living essentials into your hand luggage

Pack a change of clothes, toothbrushes and others bathroom things into your hand luggage to have fast access to them

• Pack your luggage
• Check your camera and batteries
• Take care of your cash

Prepare enough domestic money to pay while you're in your country and exchange the money to have enough foreign currency abroad beforehand

• Give a notice to all required services about your future absence

Ask the post office, newspaper delivery and online shops to stop their services and to hold on your stuff temporally

• Arrange sending your luggage ahead if you want

Day of Departure

• Change your voicemail message at home
• Check the documents

Make sure that your documents and money are in your hand luggage, not in your baggage

• Reconfirm the flight and all reservations once again
• Check your driving license
• Check your baggage

Make sure that your luggage is packed and mark it to easily recognize at the custom-house

• Check your medicines

Make sure that all your medicines are in their original bottles and are packed into your hand luggage

• Leave the house to arrive at the airport early
