Bathrooms safety

• Set a slip-resistant rug to the bathtub to avoid slipperiness while taking a bath
• Set a slip-resistant adhesive carpet or rubber mats on the bathroom floor
• Set a grab bars on the walls of the bathroom, shower cubicle and toilet
• Control the floor of the bathroom, shower cubicle and toilet to be dry
• Set a raised toilet seat
• Control your children staying in the bathroom
• Turn off all electrical appliances
• Avoid turning on any electrical appliances nearby water sources
• Check the lighting to work properly
• Install a liquid soap dispenser on the bathroom and shower cubicle walls
• Set your hot water thermostat to keep the temperature not more than 125 Fahrenheit degrees

Kitchen safety

• If something is spilled on the floor, clean it up immediately
• Keep perishable food in the refrigerator
• Keep plates and dishes at easy-to-reach waist-high level
• Use antiskid floor wax
• Keep cooking equipment in a safe place
• Turn off the equipment
• Keep frequently used thing on the lower berths
• Use steps to take something from upper lockers
• Control the flooring to be repaired
• Check the lighting to work properly and not to glare
• Electric oven

The furniture should be placed in such manner that your electric oven control is easily reached

• Keep curtains and towels as far as possible from the fire
• Water and draw utensils that are used for raw meats
• Ventilate the kitchen
• Keep medicines and chemicals as far as possible from the food
• Set up smoke detectors
• Clean the clutter

Living room safety

• Check the carpets and floor to be antiskid
• Check the cords to be hidden
• Check the cords not to be under the rugs and carpets
• Check the passageways to be free and safety
• Check the lighting to work properly
• Check some lamps to be reached at once in a dark room
• Install glow-in-the-dark switches
• Remove broken-down or wobbly furniture
• On a concrete, marble or ceramic surface place the carpets
• Check all broken-down floor broads to be repaired at once
• Clean the clutter

Bedrooms safety

• Check the lighting to be easily reached at once in a dark room
• Check the lamps to be easily reached from your bed
• Check the telephone to be easily reached from your bed

• Set up the lights on the way between the toilet and the bedroom

Stairs and steps safety

• Check the lighting to be easily reached at once in a dark
• Check the lighting to light up each step
• Check each step to be in a working order
• Check the hand-rail to be in a working order
• Clean the clutter
• Install motion detector lights
• Dry the steps if something was spilled
• Check the stairs to be antiskid
