Before the first day
- Arrange your classroom environment
Prepare interactive bulletin boards, projector, computers, audio-, video- equipment, listening center and so on
- Arrange the classroom furniture
- Prepare student stationary
Obtain pens, pencils, paper, writing-books, drawing-books, crayons, glue, scissors, rulers, erasers and so on
- Prepare teacher stationary
Obtain markers, tapes, staples and stapler, chart paper, pens, roll book, rubber bands, paper clips and so on
- Prepare an introduction letter for the parents
Introduce yourself, describe the schedule and what you expect of the year
- Prepare students name tags
- Prepare a soft music for background
- Prepare a sign-in sheets for the parents to leave their notes
- Prepare a paper for the parents to describe how their children can get home
- Prepare some games, puzzles and books
