If you meant that you want some tasks recurrence every even week or every odd week of the year, you can check on the "Every even week of the year" or "Every odd week of the year" functions in the "Rule of Recurrence Wizard" field. If you meant that you want some tasks recurrence every 1st week or every 2nd week of the month, you can do the following:
1. In "Edit Task" field, check on "Recurrence" option.
2. Choose "Weekly" and set "Start date".
3. Check on "Week of the month" option.
4. In "Every week" field, click on the pointer of drop down window and choose the variant you want (1st week, 2nd week, etc.).

You can enter manually the period of time you want (for example: 3-12 weeks) to the tasks in "Estimated time" field.

If you double click on the category and then create a task, this task will be assigned to this category by default.

If I copy and paste text from a word doc the text is indented in the note field and I cannot left align the text in the box (even using the alignment buttons).

Please go to: menu "Tools -> Options -> Tasks List" and uncheck "Show note as plain text" option. So, if you do this, you will be able to use alignment buttons.
